JW: ‘I imported all the Bloume sounds I wanted to work with into Ableton and adjusted their sample length, pitch and sustain. I assigned all the chosen samples to pads on a Roland HPD20 Handsonic to create a full, playable kit. The only effects I used were in reducing the sample quality of one or two sounds to make them slightly grainy. A second kit was added so that each pad triggered two different samples. I spent an afternoon improvising and this is the track that I liked most. It was recorded ‘live’ with no overdubs.’
